Can it be October already? And the middle of October?? Our foster children have been with us for a year and oh what a year it has been. They are growing so tall and strong..they have climbed into our home and our lives. We were able to see our daughter last October...could it be a year ago? And we saw our son in Sept., along with gramma and grampa. How does life travel so fast? How could our baby girl be grown and have a son of her own. We grow older and wiser and find out how very much we need to learn. Our fingers ache and shoulders cry out with pain. We can tell you if it is going to rain, and worse, snow. We want so much to spend time with our grandchildren, to share history with them, to walk with them, to share, yet it is so clear that they just do not have the time to spare, their lifes are so full it is hard to find the time to spend with someone with wrinkled skin and slow movement. We see them spend their hard earned money on things that blow in the wind...a jet ski, toys that fade away, and then we look around and wonder how we got so much excess, and how to get rid of it. Those things that meant so much to you, mean absolutely nothing to others, or are so old they are outdated and worthless.

Life is ever changing....God has blessed us with grandchildren, adopted grandchildren, and foster children...how lucky can we be? The wind is changing and frost is in the air. As we grow older generations change also. What we used to love doing does not exist anymore..people seem to love the easy way out...somethimes tears come when there should be none. How wonderful it is to be older yet wiser, yet so heartbreaking, as we see our children do things that will hurt them one day.

All that paperwork, finally we will become foster parents...just a couple more weeks. Seems the Lord gives me everything I could want and I complain....oh well....Donna had another surgery, and that breaks my heart..

Sept. 28, 2006 As we continue on our path of life we wonder and are answered. James 2 is a terrific chapter for today...I get so tired of filling out paperwork for these people, but hey, in the longrun, does it really hurt me? NO...it just takes up my time...soooo get busy!!!
